C.M. Tokë Vandervoort has more than 20 years providing strategic legal counsel to major US tech companies on intellectual property and technology development and acquisition, information governance and data protection, and related compliance program development, training, litigation and incident management. She presently serves as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at Under Armour, having assumed that role earlier this year.  Prior to that, she was the VP and Assistant General Counsel for Technology, Privacy & Security at XO Communications, and also served as the company’s Chief Privacy Officer.  She is also a current member of the US Department of Homeland Security Data Privacy and Integrity Advisory Committee which provides advice at the request of the Secretary and the DHS Chief Privacy Officer on DHS program, policy, operational, administrative, and technological issues related to personally identifiable information, data integrity and other privacy-related matters.   Early in her career, Ms. Vandervoort clerked for Judges Jim R. Carrigan and Bruce D. Pringle in US District Court in Colorado.
