Susan Goodman is the Chief Privacy Officer (CPO) at the City of Seattle, where the key goal is to maintain the public’s trust in how the city collects and uses its information. This includes ensuring that technologies are designed and implemented in a manner that adheres to its privacy principles and all other privacy commitments. Susan has a Master’s Degree (SUNY Albany School of Information Science and Policy) and is a Certified Information Privacy Professional with extensive experience – in the U.S. and globally – in both the public and private-sectors, in-house, and as a consultant. From the city and County of Albany, NY; to NY State Government; Washtenaw County, MI; the Public Utilities Board of Brownsville, Texas; the Town of Wethersfield, CT; Bank of America; Consumer Reports; Citigroup, and others – she developed, led and enhanced records and information management and privacy programs. Susan was also an Adjunct Professor of Records Administration at Wayne State University. She speaks at conferences and contributes to technical publications to advance privacy and information governance.

• Served as Information Governance Panelist at Legal Tech (2014)

• Led the Privacy sub-committee of the ARMA Conference Proposal Selection Committee (2014)

• Co-edited the ARMA International  Electronic Records Management Curriculum (2014)

• Co-edited the ARMA Privacy Curriculum (2014) as the Privacy Subject Matter Expert on behalf of the IAPP

• Co-authored ROI for Information and Cloud Computing, Sedona Conference guidance
