Bart is a Houston-based partner in Holland & Knight’s Data Strategy, Security and Privacy Team. He has a systems engineering background, and experience in privacy and information security matters that spans the modern history of the practice area. Bart regularly works on matters for the energy industry, transportation, financial services, and other critical infrastructure. He holds a J.D. from the University of Texas and a B.S.E. from Princeton University in Civil Engineering & Operations Research with a Certificate in Engineering and Management Systems. Bart is admitted to practice law in Texas, New York and California, and before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. Bart has served as a visiting fellow of the Center for Information Technology at Princeton University, and he is currently an adjunct professor, teaching “Privacy: Personal Data Under US and EU Law” at the University of Texas School of Law.
