Hello, my name is Igor Chechelnitsky. I have more than 20 years of experience in Privacy and Security in the healthcare industry. I work at Medtronic, the largest medical device company in the world, in the Global Data Protection and Privacy Program. Before Medtronic I was with the National Marrow Donor Program where I served as Enterprise Security Architect and was responsible for information security and privacy strategies, policies, programs and standards to protect health records of more than 30M domestic and international volunteer bone marrow donors. Prior to the NMDP, I have worked at Twin Cities information privacy consulting firm, as well at Boston Scientific/Guidant where during my 13 years I have worked on various aspects of information privacy and security of systems of various ranges and scope - from implantable cardiac devices, to large patient management systems, to enterprise system-of-systems. I received M.Sc. in Computer Science from University of Minnesota, and MBA from Carlson School of Management. I carry several information privacy and security certifications and designations, including the Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP) from the IAPP (International Association of Privacy Professionals).
