Ayana Miller is a Privacy Program Manager at Facebook where she is responsible for privacy and compliance review for consumer products that are launched to more than a billion people. Prior to joining Facebook, Ayana served as a Privacy Program Specialist at the Federal Trade Commission in the Office of the Chairwoman where she supported the Chief Privacy Officer in ensuring that staff and contractors complied with federal privacy laws, regulations, and related guidance. 

 

Ayana joined the Federal Trade Commission from The MITRE Corporation where she served as a Senior Systems Engineer within the Business Strategy practice area. In this role, she served as the MITRE co-knowledge steward for subject matter related to Strategic Information Privacy Policy & Planning. Her clients included the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Department of Health & Human Services and the U.S. Census Bureau. In addition to serving on the IAPP Publications Advisory Board, Ayana is the co-founder of Privacy According to Jane, an online community and resource for women interested in maintaining privacy and security in a connected world.

 

Ayana holds a B.A. in Government from The College of William & Mary and a Master’s of Science in Public Policy & Management with a concentration in Policy Analysis from Carnegie Mellon University.
