About the IAPP

Kim Leonard Smouter heads the government affairs team at ESOMAR, the World Association for Market, Opinion and Social Research. Kim leads the sector’s advocacy on data protection and privacy. He is a member of the IAPP since 2013. 

 

Kim’s brings a wealth of cross-sector experience to the European Advisory Board. He has held previous roles in the non-profit sector, as Secretary General of the European Network of National Civil Society Associations, and the public sector working for the North East England regional office, and the European Parliament as Coordinator of a civil rights intergroup defending the rights of LGBT persons.
