About the IAPP

Dr. Christian Schröder heads Orrick's EU Advisory Group. Christian advises global and domestic companies on cybersecurity and privacy compliance issues. He represents companies facing government scrutiny before regulatory supervisory authorities in the EU and helps companies through global cybersecurity incidents.

Christian provides multijurisdictional privacy compliance support and counsels clients on international regulatory regimes governing cybersecurity and privacy. Specifically, he has helped dozens of clients develop GDPR compliance programs, including assessing business activities, advising on data processing agreements, analyzing the impact of the GDPR and creating bespoke compliance plans. Christian also regularly advises on the privacy aspects of internal investigations. Christian is recognized by JUVE, the Legal 500 and other industry publications as a leading privacy and data security lawyer.
