About the IAPP

Donna Fickett,CIPM, CIPP/US, CIPP/G is a managing director with Navigate LLC, a consulting company focused on providing comprehensive strategic and tactical information protection and privacy consulting services. Prior to joining Navigate in January 2014, Fickett was a lead enterprise business strategist at the MITRE Corporation consulting on U.S. government privacy efforts. Her focus was on operational implementation of privacy requirements, privacy strategy and policy development. Prior to joining MITRE in 2010, she was the senior director of information protection and privacy at Marriott International, Inc.In this leadership capacity, Fickett addressed global commercial privacy topics, including advising software development efforts on privacy integration, privacy employee awareness programs, credit card security program compliance,EU Data Protection Directive Safe Harbor certification, incident response, policy development, and internal and external compliance evaluations, risk assessments and governance activities.



Fickett began her career at Martin Marietta Corporation (now Lockheed Martin) and directed software development and program management efforts at Freddie Mac and Marriott International, Inc., prior to joining Marriott's privacy team.
