Kenesa Ahmad is a Privacy Associate at Promontory where she advises clients on privacy, information security, and data protection issues. Kenesa assists with developing and implementing global privacy and data protection programs, assessing multijurisdictional legal and regulatory obligations, and integrating privacy protections into emerging technology. Prior to joining Promontory, Kenesa served as the 2010-2012 Legal and Policy Fellow at the Future of Privacy Forum in Washington, D.C. Kenesa is co-author of the two principal texts used for the Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) program, and has written extensively on issues related to consumer privacy, encryption, and government surveillance. Kenesa is also the Co-Founder and Project Director of Women in Security and Privacy (WISP), a Bay area professional organization.
