About the IAPP

Keith Apple is Assistant General Counsel, Privacy and Data Security for Deloitte LLP, where he advises the US firm’s Big 4 accounting, auditing, and consulting practices.  Previously, Keith worked as Legal Counsel, Data Privacy Compliance for Accenture, covering global privacy issues related to its consulting, technology, and business process outsourcing services.  Keith also served as the lead privacy counsel for GEICO, one of the US’s largest car insurance companies, and worked for several years as an attorney in private practice handling privacy, internet, and communications matters. He earned his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center and his undergraduate degrees from Columbia University and the Jewish Theological Seminary of America.  He is a long-term member of International Association of Privacy Professionals and has achieved CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPP/C and CIPP/G certifications.
