About the IAPP

Katie Wells is Assistant Vice President and Chief Privacy Officer, Canada, responsible for privacy oversight for Manulife in Canada, as well as supporting the Global Chief Privacy Officer’s enterprise-wide mandate. Katie also leads Manulife’s Canadian Compliance Records and Information Management team, and previously led Manulife’s Ombuds function. 

Katie has been a privacy professional since 2013. 

Katie loves being outside and spends much of her free time at hockey rinks, ball diamonds, and volleyball courts supporting her kids’ athletics. She lives in Waterloo with her husband, two children and their dog.
