Deanna DiCarlantonio is the VP, International Privacy Programs and Innovations at UnitedHealth Group, a Fortune 500 global health and wellness company. In her current role,

Ms. DiCarlantonio oversees UnitedHealth Group’s international privacy program across EMEA, APAC, North, and South America. In this role, she advices on key privacy areas such as data transfers, data protection authority registrations, and existing and pending regulatory changes. In addition to her international role, Ms. DiCarlantonio leads enterprise privacy-by-design efforts for innovations within the health and wellness marketplace, including mobile applications, texting, and marketing practices. 



Prior to joining UnitedHealth Group, Ms. DiCarlantonio served in leadership positions in both the public and private sector. Ms. DiCarlantonio was the President of the DiCarlantonio Group, a consulting firm that provided privacy, security, and compliance services within the Federal and Financial Services sector.  Ms. DiCarlantonio also served as the Corporate Leader for Privacy at CUNA Mutual Group, a financial services company focusing on credit unions. Ms. DiCarlantonio also spent several years in consulting with the firm Booz, Allen, and Hamilton and had privacy engagements with various governmental agencies.



Ms. DiCarlantonio holds a Master of Arts in German and European Studies from Georgetown University’s School for Foreign Service and a Bachelor of Arts in German, International Relations, and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Ms. DiCarlantonio is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP-US and CIPP-EU) and has made multiple contributions to articles and standards, including the National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST), Special Publication 800.122-Guide to Protecting the Confidentiality of Personally Identifiable Information.
