About the IAPP

Michelle Chibba brings unique insights into implementing Privacy by Design from her early involvement in the privacy regulatory space and experience with a wide range of corporate initiatives requiring a Privacy by Design lens. Ms. Chibba teaches a course with Dr. Cavoukian on Privacy by Design at the Toronto Metropolitan University, Canada. She was Project Editor for the international standard on Privacy by Design for Consumer Products, ISO 31700-1:2023. Michelle is also involved in early development work in AI and privacy guidance, digital twins, and model-based software/systems engineering for privacy. Recently, she led a successful certification process for ISO27001.She is a frequent speaker on Privacy by Design and emerging data privacy/technology issues and has written a number of publications on privacy and technology.
