About the IAPP

Dr. Maria A. Pozza is the Senior Legal Counsel and Privacy Officer at NZ Post, New Zealand. Her role focuses on assurance, legal advice, and compliance, concerning Privacy, Information Security, and Data Governance. Dr. Maria is involved in contractual risk management in areas of IT, Information security, and Privacy, as well as contractual negotiation over specialist privacy and information security standards. Dr. Maria is the Lead of the Privacy Incident Response Management team. In order to promote privacy in her organisation she has developed a number of key initiatives that include automation of the PIA form and has created her own privacy training videos. Dr. Maria is an avid promoter of all things PRIVACY at NZ Post and is a member of the Privacy Officer’s Round Table (PORT) in New Zealand.
