Privacy Professional - Mediator -Access and Privacy

Diane Hall has been a Mediator/Investigator with the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario (the IPC) for over thirteen years where she resolved over 1000 appeals. As the chair of the IPC’s Tribunal Wide Learning Committee for seven years, Diane led the coordination of presentations from Access and Privacy Experts from across Canada. Diane also completed a one-year secondment with the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services as a Freedom of Information Policy Analyst. Currently, Diane holds public appointments as a Hearing Officer with three municipal Administrative Monetary Penalty Systems in Ontario. She is also a volunteer mediator with the Ministry of the Attorney General’s Court Diversion programs.      

This year, Diane completed the CIPP/C designation and is the proud recipient of the IAPP Trust Bursary to attend the 2022 IAPP Global Privacy Summit. She also holds the Advanced Certificate in Adjudication from Osgoode Hall Law School and an Advanced Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution from the University of Windsor Law School. Diane is a Member of the IAPP and Society of Ontario Adjudicators and Regulators and is a registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
