About the IAPP

Alexandra Laks is the Managing Lead Counsel of Privacy and Data Protection at Cruise LLC, an autonomous vehicle company launching ridehail and delivery services in San Francisco, Austin, Phoenix, and other cities to come. Prior to her position at Cruise, Alexandra was an Associate General Counsel of Privacy at Meta, where she supported AI, hardware, and Metaverse related products and services from a privacy perspective. Alexandra began her legal career at Morrison & Foerster in San Francisco, first as a litigator and then as an associate on the firm’s privacy team. She currently lives in Seattle.
