Michael Fitzpatrick, CIPP/US, CIPM, FIP

Michael Fitzpatrick is the Chief Privacy Officer of the City of New York. As chief privacy officer, Michael leads the Office of Information Privacy, and his responsibilities include advising the mayor, chief technology officer, and other senior officials on privacy protection in administration priorities, data sharing initiatives, and emerging policy areas, as well as response to suspected and known incidents involving identifying information. Michael and his office also implement local privacy law by promulgating citywide privacy policies and provide guidance to agency privacy officers throughout New York City on the lawful and responsible handling of identifying information and privacy protection.
