About the IAPP

Marie-Luies Rubel is Desk Officer for Employee Data Protection, working for the Commissioner for Data Protection of Baden-Württemberg. Before, she worked at the professorial chair for Civil Law, IT Law and Data Protection of Prof. Dr. Georg Borges (University of Saarland). She studied Law in Germany (State Examinations), France (Licence en droit) and England (Master of Laws).



In her work, she provides support to both public and private sectors on Employee Data Protection and gives advices to employees and employers, but also to employees union representations and other representatives. Beside her advisor role, she is also controlling companies on their compliance to GDPR and pursues complaints of data protection breaches.
