Legal Counsel

Currently, Kenta is a legal counsel of Philips Japan, a leading health technology company. In Philips, Kenta manages corporate legal affairs for health technology and data-driven businesses. In the areas of data protection, Kenta has handled GDPR, Chinese Cybersecurity Law, and Japanese privacy laws. Before joining Philips, he practiced law in Japanese law firms, served as an assistant professor in Nagoya University in Japan and the National University of Mongolia, and served as a legal manager for Asahi Group Holdings. Also, Kenta is a member of the Business and Human Rights Lawyers Japan, the Database Society of Japan, and the Association of Law and Information Systems. He received a bachelor degree (Liberal Arts) from the University of Tokyo (2009), am admitted to the bar of the Japan (2010), and acquired CIPP/E (2019).
