About the IAPP

I am passionate about privacy and data protection. Before joining Castrén & Snellman, I took a break from commercial law and completed a doctoral degree in EU information and communication law with a generous grant from the Emil Aaltonen Foundation and Business Finland. My doctoral dissertation focused on the General Data Protection Regulation, which is what I advise our clients on daily.

As a doctoral student I had the chance to gain in-depth knowledge of the ever-changing and complicated data protection and technology legislation in the EU, which I can now communicate to our clients in a practical and intelligible way, combining theory and practise.

Thanks to my academic endeavours, I have also gained a great deal of experience as a speaker, lecturing at prestigious universities, such as Oxford University. At Castrén & Snellman I continue giving talks about data protection and technology law and take an active part in the on-going discussion in our field of law.
