About the IAPP

Elizabeth Shaw is a privacy consultant with The Barrington Consulting Group, where she manages a team that actively works on privacy impact assessments. Prior to joining the firm, Elizabeth’s work experience was predominantly health care focused. Her background includes working in disaster services, in the field as an emergency medical technician, managing corporate-wide quality improvement initiatives in senior care homes, and project management. Her experience also includes research and business continuity planning.

The privacy field has combined her passion and experience in health care with concerns related to patient and custodian personal information. Privacy by Design is an avenue Elizabeth would like to further explore and incorporate into her everyday work.
