About the IAPP

Dr. Swati Gupta is an Assistant Professor in the Center for Machine Learning (ML@GT) and the School of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISyE) at Georgia Institute of Technology. She received a Ph.D. in Operations Research from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2017 and a joint Masters and Bachelors in Computer Science & Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. Her research interests are in machine learning, optimization, algorithmic fairness, interpretability, transparency and gameability. She was awarded the NSF CISE Research Initiation Initiative award in 2019 for junior faculty, the prestigious Simons-Berkeley Research Fellowship in 2017-2018 and the Google Women in Engineering Award in 2011.
