Director, Global Cybersecurity Risk Assurance and GRC Solutions

Sarah is a Director in the Global Cybersecurity organization at Liberty Mutual Insurance Group. She brings a collaborative, customer-driven and product focus to her work, seeking ways to make things both better and easier.



Sarah’s teams provide cybersecurity Governance, Risk, and Controls Assurance services and solutions as well as information system and enterprise-level risk assessments. Prior to joining Liberty, Sarah’s spent nearly two decades at IBM, with experience that mirrors the evolution of software development and delivery. Her engineering management experience includes multi-platform client/server software, backend data migration and services, collaboration software and integrations, SaaS operations, and DevSecOps.

 

She holds an Executive Master’s in Cybersecurity from Brown University and was one of four national recipients of the 2019 Crowdstrike Security Scholarship. She was also a 2020 RSA Security Scholar. Sarah serves on the Industrial Advisory Board for the University of New Hampshire for the Information Technology Curriculum and is a member of FS-ISAC's measurements and conference content subcommittees.

 

She is currently a Teaching Assistance for the IT Management and Risk course in Brown’s Cybersecurity Master’s program.

 

At the local level, she is a member of the Portsmouth NH Economic Development Commission, and was recently reelected as a Ward Selectmen, where her responsibilities include facilitating election day activities.
