Bank of America notified attorneys general in Massachusetts and California of a data breach related to the Paycheck Protection Program, Boston Business Journal reports. The April 22 breach occurred as PPP applications were uploaded to the U.S. Small Business Administration’s test platform, and the bank said business details may have been visible to other lenders. There is no indication data was viewed or misused, and it was not visible to other applicants or the public, according to Bank of America.
